Cooper Middle School: The Hidden gem of cobb county
Good Afternoon,
Next week we are starting our study of literature with the short story "Seventh Grade" by Gary Soto. Students will also be taking the Reading Inventory (RI) in class on Wednesday to assess their current Lexile. On Friday, there will be an assessment over the vocabulary and skills covered this week. AC FlipGrid Videos Due Monday 8/5/19--This applies to 6th adn 7th period only!!!! Student introductory Flipgrid videos are due on Monday 8/5/19. Please see the individual class codes sent home yesterday via e-mail and given in class to access your class's Flipgrid account. Material Needed for Monday Students should have their independent reading book and two composition books with them in class on Monday 8/5/19. Homework
There will be a quiz on Friday 8/9/19 over the 12 PowerWords and citing text evidence. There are study resources for the 12 PowerWords available on Quizlet. The link for the quizlet is https://quizlet.com/HayesELA . Classroom Supplies Needed Thank you to the families that have already donated classroom supplies. We are still in need of donations of Kleenex, hand sanitizer, and Clorox/Lysol Wipes for the classroom. These items help us keep the classroom clean and germ free for the health of our students. Homeroom Papers If you have not yet signed and returned the forms that your students received in homeroom on the first day of school, please do so and return them on Monday.
